Sheriff Nick Smith Announces New SRO for Walker County Center of Technology

Sheriff Nick Smith is pleased to announce the appointment of Danny Alexander as the new School Resource Officer (SRO) for the Walker County Center of Technology. This initiative reinforces the Sheriff’s Office's dedication to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment for students and staff.

The Sheriff’s Office extends its gratitude to the Walker County Board of Education for their partnership in making an SRO available to the Center of Technology.

Danny Alexander joins the team of School Resource Officers stationed across Walker County, ensuring a visible law enforcement presence at every campus. This initiative reflects Sheriff Smith’s long-standing commitment to having deputies in all county schools, a goal achieved on his first day in office.
