come work where you can still be a cop, and the brass has your back.

join a team:

Are you ready to start a life-long career in law enforcement? Look no further than joining our ranks here, at the Walker County Sheriff's Office. My deputies, investigators, and support staff are the best in the business, and I ask anyone who thinks they're good enough to keep up to apply today.

join a family.

Our staff are much more than co-workers. We rely on each other to make it home safely every single day. Do you have what it takes to make sure you and your law enforcement family makes it home at the end of each shift? Are you mentally tough enough? Are you physically strong enough?
Are you willing to put yourself aside to serve the communities that trust us? If you answered yes to those questions...

you need to apply today.

I want more people like you in this career field. We serve our citizens and strive to enforce the law in a fair and just manner. Most importantly, I support my staff to the fullest. I let my people actually police. That means we don't let criminals run. That means when you have to act, we support the actions you took, even if it may not reflect warm fuzzy feelings. You did the right thing, and that was what you had to do. I will never criticize or punish my staff for doing the job. It's not an easy job. You will make mistakes along the way, but I want you to that as an employee of my office, the Sheriff of Walker County has your back, always.

I can't wait to see you sporting the tan and green uniform.
Sincerely,
