Sheriff Nick Smith

The goal of this administration is to provide the community with the highest level of professionalism and efficiency in the Sheriff's Office. Our department strives to be the capstone of law enforcement, and a forerunner of public safety. Sheriff Nick Smith, Chief Deputy Ralph Williams, and Director Nick Key oversee the daily operations of the Sheriff's Office, while also being active in the field. The administration of the Walker County Sheriff's Office is a working administration, meaning they're alongside the hardworking deputies, investigators, and other personnel who patrol our county. To make a long story short, you've got over 50 years of combined law enforcement experience leading the way to a better Walker County.
